2013 has brought a raft of dynamic achievements as our profile has been elevated to unprecedented heights as a multi-award winning manufacturer. Our prestigious accolades include the UK’s Winner of Winners Award – the highest honour the EEF can bestow on a manufacturer. The EEF also awarded us the Outstanding Export title.
The honours acknowledge our trailblazing success and reflect how, from a standing start in 2008, we have built a global export division with exports now representing 25 per cent of our total turnover – and growing. We now export to over 50 countries including Australia, Russia, Peru, New Zealand, Finland, Romania and Italy.
Judges also applauded the fact that Fracino – UK’s only espresso and cappuccino machine manufacturer – sells coffee machines to the Italians and engraves a British flag on every machine which leaves our factory.
Our business has been praised at the highest level by Prime Minister David Cameron who, in a speech on exporting and growth in November 2011, said: “It’s not just the film industry where Britain is excelling – Fracino in Birmingham are selling coffee machines to Italy.”
Other fantastic awards we’ve scooped this year include the “New Frontiers” category of the national UK Red Ribbon Awards, the Outstanding Export award from top trade publication Essential Café – and the Excellence in International Business accolade from Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.
Managing Director, Adrian Maxwell, says: “We could not have dreamed when we started out in January that we would have clinched these awards which pay tribute to our trailblazing achievements.
These prestigious and high profile accolades reinforce our commitment to world class manufacturing, on-going investment and innovation – and are a testimony to the tremendous hard work and dedication of our fantastic team.”
